Status The Marlboro Man ft. Krookid Hooks & El Da Sensei "Too Many Styles"

TOO MANY STYLES is the new single written and performed by Status The Marlboro Man, Krookid Hooks and El Da Sensei of Artifacts. The collaboration came together at a show in a venue in Denver Colorado. What started as a casual conversation about hip-hop and culture cultivated to an underground - cult classic - boombap banger. TOO MANY STYLES celebrates the range and diversity in approach to hip-hop music. From the gritty storytelling of a streetwise pusher, to the boombastic boisterous art sprayed on an alley wall - hip-hop is the common place for so many different styles to merge.

TOO MANY STYLES is produced by Status on the Akai Mpc with traditional break beat drums and old-school horns. The vintage news anchor loop is a reminder of the early days of beats and rhymes. El Da Sensei brings the classic New Jersey flow with an effortless suaveness. Status is gruff and sarcastic while paying homage to the influences hip-hop has over the pen and paper. Meanwhile, Hooks hits the beat with punchlines and battle ready raps. Together the three emcees have created a hip-hop classic with modern overtones.

Status and Hooks have pioneered the Hardcore hip-hop scene in Colorado for over twenty years. They've collaborated with legends Sadat X, Son Doobie, Nine and more. El Da Sensei is from the legendary hip-hop group ARTIFACTS, hailing from New Jersey and carrying the torch for true hip-hop fans for decades. TOO MANY STYLES is available now on all digital platforms. Add this song to your hip-hop playlist today!

Lords Of The Underground x Snowgoons "So Legendary"

The Lords Of The Underground will forever be associated with the Golden Age of Hip Hop. When Nas decided to do a remix of his song “Where Are They Now?”, in which he asked about the fate of several forgotten legends, the Lords were among those requested to appear. The trio from Newark, New Jersey, consists of two MCs, DoItAll and Mr. Funke, along with DJ Lord Jazz. The group released their debut album "Here Come The Lords" in 1993, with production from Marley Marl and K-Def, including their most famous track, “Chief Rocka". That same year, L.O.T.U.G. won the BET Best Rap Group Of The Year Award. Their second album "Keepers Of The Funk" reached No. 47 on the Billboard 200 and featured three singles, with “Tic Toc” being the most successful.

The Snowgoons, who had already produced albums with Onyx, M.O.P. and Nine, teamed up with the Lords for their new album "So Legendary".  "We were out in Europe touring a lot and we just connected like that and started working together on this album. I love the passion and work ethic from the Snowgoons so it wasn’t hard to work with them.  The beats go hand in hand with Du and Funke’s verses. You won’t be disappointed!" DJ Lord Jazz explains how the project came together.   He is not wrong. With a sound that bridges the gap between modern and classic Hip-Hop styles, L.O.T.U.G. proves that they are still at the top of their game. Check out the latest Lyrics video on the album track "Absolution".

They offer vinyl editions in three different colors each limited to 150 copies.
The album will be available on CD and different bundles, too.
